Luxion’s interactive visual platform provides immersive experience for attendees to experience the exclusive Cromax “Danny D” Mild-to-Wild Combinations from Axalta Coating Systems and custom pinstriper and painter Danny Gálvez.

Luxion, a leading developer of advanced rendering and lighting technology and maker of KeyShot, the first real-time ray-tracing and global-illumination program for 3D rendering and animation, and Axalta Coating Systems, LLC (“Axalta”), a leading manufacturer of liquid and powder coatings, continue their collaboration by delivering high-quality, real-time visualizations of Axalta’s newest color combinations at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada during November 3-6, 2015.

Danny D demonstrations

Attendees will be able to watch Danny D digitally paint live in an immersive KeyShot rendering and animation experience that allows interactive, real-time ray tracing and viewing of the color combinations across a range of cars and environments.

An immersive experience

The viewer will immerse themselves in a full 50″ touchscreen control panel displaying the interactive 3D view of the car complete with configurations, camera and environment controls. As many as 15 different cars and 30 Axalta three-color combinations maybe switched and viewed in any orientation, all in real-time.

With a BOXX 48 core RenderPRO powering the real-time view and Luxion’s rendering technology utilizes 100% of all CPU power, all changes happen instantly. The viewer can interact directly with the car, change the color and camera position and select from three environment choices that allow the viewer to experience each color combination under unique lighting situations.

A new way of selling paint

The KeyShot rendering and animation program is the only rendering solution that allows customers to accurately view any color in digital form. It enables customers to make paint decisions and chose the right color combination long before the actual paint job is started. KeyShot provides customers with the ability to evaluate the rich color range of paint under real-world lighting conditions, helps eliminate unwanted surprises and designed to give customers the highest confidence in their paint selection.

Axalta continues to be a leader in the field of custom coatings. The KeyShot rendering and animation program helps to quickly facilitate the presentation of high-quality, color-accurate visuals for the entire product offering of Axalta’s expansive color system.
