BIMcollab adds another BIM representative as its BIM solutions grow.

BIM6x aims to support and expand BIMcollab in the US market through its own current and future customers. American professionals interested in cloud-based issue management with integrated model validation can now find a new solutions expert behind BIMcollab.

“We’re excited to have BIM6x on board, helping BIM professionals get started in the United States,” says Erik Pijnenburg, CEO of BIMcollab. “It’s exactly the right timing, now that more and more AEC companies in the United States start to embrace Open BIM.”

BIMcollab Gaining Market Share

BIMcollab’s well-regarded issue management and model validation solutions are gaining in popularity, says the company. There are over 90,000 BIMcollab Cloud users and over BIMcollab ZOOM users worldwide. The two solutions form a package that offers users an effective combination of capabilities for tracking issues between AEC stakeholders working together and model validation against requirements.

KUBUS, which happens to be the exclusive distributor for GRAPHISOFT and Solibri solutions in the Benelux, continues to expand its global partnerships for its BIMcollab Cloud and BIMcollab ZOOM solutions. The former tool is focused on “issue management” helping teams and collaborators work through design and engineering issues in BIM model workflows in AEC. The solution has been mentioned in several firm profile stories of architects in Europe, for example, in our case study feature on Assael Architecture, a 100-person Vectorworks Architect-based practice in the UK.

BIMcollab ZOOM on the other hand is a BIM model validation software solution. Then there is a free version (ZOOM Free) and a full paid version. The solution offers clash detection, requirements validation, smart views, color-coding workflows, BIM data extraction, and list generations. Naturally, it works with issue management via BIMcollab Cloud. KUBUS is focused on Open BIM workflow technologies and they support the BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) for Open BIM workflows.

BIMcollab’s latest partnership with BIM6x will certainly help bolster and support GRAPHISOFT’s US-based BIM users, as well as provide access to expansion for BIMcollab, which continues to grow into one of the top first-class BIM collaboration solutions in the global market.
