Architosh Facebook Page created for reader/fans

Architosh takes further steps with social media integration with online magazine and creates official Facebook Fan Page for Architosh. This page joins Architosh’s earlier step this year with the creation of the official Architosh Twitter page.

[Editor’s note: 21 Jan 2010: As of today we have implemented several additional social media integration features. At the bottom of every post now in addition to our ShareThis popup option to popular social media sites like Digg we have added four new icons which enable you to join Architosh on Facebook, as well as join Architosh on LinkedIn, and to see how your LinkedIn connections relate to a company in the story on LinkedIn. We hope you enjoy the LinkedIn connections in particular.]

Facebook has become a popular destination for social media marketing and networking and we have initiated our first steps in this direction with the creation of an Architosh Facebook Page. This will be the only official page for Architosh on Facebook. (ed. note: if you have trouble with the link please let us know. Thx.)

For Facebook users who are readers of Architosh please consider becoming a Fan of this page so you can help us grow our presence on Facebook. This year we will be knitting together (with code that is…) various social media sites and aspects of these sites with our Architosh publication and vice versa. This is an exciting time for well-established online publications because now with social media APIs (application programming interfaces), Web 2.0 technologies and future technologies it will become even easier to marry users and communities to content sharers, users, consumers and producers.

Earlier this year we took our first baby steps with the integration of social media websites with our own redesigned Architosh webzine (consider joining Architosh, registere now!) . At the bottom of our right content margin you will find the official Architosh Twitter section with integrated links to Architosh on Twitter.

We hope to be doing some deep Facebook integration with Architosh later this year.

As always, your suggestions are very welcome and encouraged. So please share with us your thoughts about Architosh and its continual improvement and integration with Facebook and social media sites like Twitter. You can send them to me directly at: [email protected].

Thanks. 🙂
