Resolve is virtual reality (VR) software focused on the AEC/O industry and is the only app capable of supporting large building models on Meta Quest without a personal computer (PC) powering it. The company claims that the Resolve app supports over 1 billion polygons.
Resolve’s technology streamlines the utility of VR headset use on BIM models through smart integrations with leading BIM model viewers in key CDE (common data environment) platforms, including Procore and ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud). Whenever a new model is uploaded to, say, Procore, Resolve can automatically utilize it within its app, keeping models up to date in VR.
Resolve + Revizto
Resolve already has integrations with Procore, ACC, and Navisworks, but now has an integration with the popular Revizto BIM integrated collaboration platform. With this integration, Resolve users can detect issues inside Resolve VR workflows and can escalate those issues to Revizto’s issue management system through this new integration.

Resolve has a new integration with Revizto, enabling Resolve’s VR workflows to seamlessly connect issue discovery and management between the two platforms.
Additionally, Resolve users can review existing Revizto issues in an immersive, real-time collaborative workspace. This means they can teleport to those issues in the Resolve app. Overall, project stakeholders can collaborate among team members using Resolve in real time across both the Meta Quest headset and across web browsers. And again, the Quest does not need a tethered PC to power Resolve’s app.
In summary, the Resolve + Revizto integration brings:
- Can consolidate project issues from Resolve into Revizto
- Review issues discovered in VR using Resolve with your Revizto project team members
- Identify critical issues using Resolve’s VR tools and then escalate them to Revizto’s Issue Manager
- Use Revizto’s issue tracking to assign issues to project team members, set due dates, add attachments, and track resolution status in real time.
A recent study cited on Resolve’s webpage reveals that 93% of building operations issues discovered in VR are not being discovered with today’s traditional workflows, like sharing 3D models on a screen. The study was published by the American Society of Civil Engineering.
With Resolve, Revizto users can add VR to their existing workflows with minimal effort. Users simply need a Quest virtual reality headset and the Resolve app for Meta Quest.
Wellington Engine
Resolve says its Wellington Engine is superior to most other BIM-to-VR workflow solutions, which simply put a wrapper over Unity or Unreal Engine technology. Resolve’s Wellington Engine uses cutting-edge techniques in virtualized geometry, occlusion culling, and adaptive partitioning to render BIM models with billions of polygons on mobile devices.
The Resolve team has developed custom formats and algorithms running on low level C++ and Vulkan code to create the only scalable VR application suited for enterprise models. You can learn more about the Wellington Engine here.
