Chaos in July has updated its Chaos Cosmos 3D asset library for AEC professionals. This major expansion adds more than 30,000 assets in total, across plants, furniture, people, cars, and more.
Additionally, the Cosmos platform is getting more intelligent and expanding its footprint to other applications within the larger Chaos family.
Cosmos Grows
Chaos says Cosmos is the largest and smartest curated 3D asset library for AEC professionals in the industry, and the library has grown through partnering with world-class asset creators like Evermotion and Globe Plants. This includes geo-specific assets with the largest focus on Asia.
“With a 400% expansion and powerful smart features like animated assets and AI-assisted material creation, Cosmos is not just growing — it’s evolving. This takes our asset library to a whole new level, empowering our users to create faster designs, smarter sales, and better builds, exploring their full creative potential,” said Stephan Sieber, CEO of Chaos. “By making Cosmos the universal asset delivery system across all our products, we are strengthening our promise to connect AEC professionals and foster seamless collaboration like never before.”
“Cosmos is becoming the gold standard for curated 3D content, and we’re proud to contribute to that evolution,” said Michal Horba, studio director of Evermotion. “Every asset we delivered was built for realism — based on real-world references, optimized with clean geometry and PBR materials, and curated to support a wide range of use cases. For us, quality means consistency and attention to detail, and that’s exactly what we delivered.”
Chaos AI Material Generator
Cosmos also delivers access to premium, high-quality materials with an introduction earlier in the year of Chaos Scans. The European software company is now introducing AI Material Generator, an AI-driven tool that allows users to create their own 3D materials from real-world photos.
This last feature plus the much expanded asset library helps provide users with an incredibly thorough solution for the needs of their scenes.
Enscape Integration
In a few months, Cosmos will be integrated with Chaos Enscape and will therefore join V-Ray, Corona, Vantage, and Envision as part of the Chaos unified asset ecosystem. The integration will begin with Enscape’s onboard (existing) asset library and will expand over time with more than 14,000 additional real-time-ready assets, each optimized for performance and visual fidelity.
Pricing and Availability
Chaos Cosmos comes at no extra cost for V-Ray, Conona, Vantage, and Envision users, and later in September will also come to Enscape.
Architosh Analysis and Commentary
This latest move is another sign of how much Chaos is implementing its grand strategy of both unity and product expansion. Enscape is one of the company’s most popular products so the new addition of Cosmos will be very well-received by many users. At the same time the unification of various technologies and in-house ecosystems within Chaos streamlines operational efficiencies and simplifies product offerings and technologies for its end-users.
