The Nemetschek Group has formally announced Solibri Inside, the latest cloud services offering from its subsidiary company Solibri. The new automated, rule-based BIM checking model is now part of its design software solutions Allplan, Graphisoft Archicad, and Vectorworks.

“This cloud-based service offering heralds a new era of quality assurance in construction projects,” says Viktor Várkonyi, Chief Division Officer for the Planning & Design Division and member of the Executive Board at the Nemetschek Group. “With the integrated design process, designers and architects can check their models any time they want, in real-time, with one click, significantly elevating their productivity and eliminating errors that would have been costly as well as time and resource-intense.”

Solibri Inside

Nemetschek Group offers Solibri Inside and sees it as an industry disruptor offering integrated cloud-deliver BIM model quality assurance.

With Solibri Inside all three BIM solutions from the Nemetschek Group’s daughter companies, the Group as a whole offers the AEC market “integrated quality assurance” within the design process. Solibri Inside will uniquely help customers across all three BIM brands avoid constant rework due to errors and inconsistencies that are typically germane to the BIM process. This will help architects keep to their project schedules, accelerate overall project timelines, and enhance the consistency of higher-quality deliverables to the AEC/O industry.

An Integrated Solution

Solibri Inside promises advantages to other BIM modeling checking and quality assurance solutions in the market, principally because it brings the power of the industry’s top BIM model checker to the native environment of Archicad, Allplan, and Vectorworks. When BIM uses need to perform even basic model checking, they no longer need to export their model to another software environment, even one in the cloud. Instead, the power of the cloud comes down to their native BIM solution via SaaS (software as a service) cloud services technology.

Solibri Inside is an industry disruptor… I am proud to see once again Nemetschek Group leading innovation in Open BIM and still putting the customer first.

The features of Solibri Inside are readily accessible from a simple tool palette integrated into the BIM authoring solution’s native UI (user interface). This allows architects and BIM professionals to make sure their models are consistent and correct before submitting their BIM models to various coordination workflows.

“Solibri Inside is an industry disruptor,” says Viktor Varkonyi, Chief Division Officer at Nemetschek Group. “By embedding quality assurance into every design tool, we offer all our customers the chance to put BIM quality into every project and every workflow.”

Varkonyi adds that in the present challenging economic times, customers in AEC need solutions that elevate their productivity. “I am proud to see once again Nemetschek Group leading innovation in Open BIM and still putting the customer first.”

What’s In First Version of Solibri Inside

The first version of this technology comes in two versions, free and premium. The free version allows for checking Door and Window clearances and supports Level of Information (LOI) checking. This package is free for all Archicad, Allplan, and Vectorworks customers using the requisite versions of those BIM authoring solutions.

By registering and acquiring the premium solution, BIM users can create customizable rule checks to suit their specific needs—ensuring everyone in the team works with the same requirements. The solution will continue to evolve in close cooperation with users, and there is no need to worry about authoring tool versions. Solibri Inside will keep working smoothly without the need for any software updates, as it is always up-to-date when the user opens their BIM solution.

Ville Kyytsönen, Solibri CEO, stated,” Making models correct and information-rich is the very core of good digital design workflows. Our ambition is to embed quality into the construction process, and we do that by going direct to the start of the process – the designer. Their models are now enriched and improved from the very start. We then offer others within the workflow the ability to benefit from BIM quality with our total solution offering. I am very happy to see Nemetschek group consolidate, put the shared customer first and lead with best practices.”
