BOXX Technologies, of Austin, Texas, a leading innovator of high-performance computer workstations, rendering systems, and servers, has announced new workstations featuring NVIDIA’s latest RTX GPUs beginning Q2.

The news coincides with NVIDIA’s GTC22 conference taking place this week, a global conference focused on AI, compute, advanced visualization technologies, and more all powered by NVIDIA’s industry-leading graphics processing units (GPUs) and other semiconductor technologies and software.

New BOXX mobile and desktop workstations now feature the latest NVIDIA announced RTX GPUs.

“At BOXX, we empower our customers to work quickly and seamlessly, whether it’s in the office or remotely,” said Bill Leasure, BOXX VP of Sales and Marketing. “Our integration of the latest NVIDIA RTX technology is essential because these GPUs take application performance to new heights. Now VFX artists, animators, architects, engineers, and other creators can design, render, collaborate, and meet project deadlines faster than ever before.”

Tech Inside

The new GOBOXX SLM laptop workstation with the NVIDIA RTX A3000 features 12GB of GPU memory to support large models and scenes and assemblies. The powerful laptop is ideal for Autodesk 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Revit as well as SolidWorks and other professional applications. It also features a 14-core Intel Core i7 or i9 processor (11th gen), 64 GB of system memory, and a 17.3″ 2560 x 1600 QHD+ display.

The BOXX APEXX workstation configurations will now feature the NVIDIA RTX A5500 GPU with next-gen RT (raytracing) Cores, Tensor Cores, and CUDA Cores with 24GB of memory. These higher-end configurations are ideal for leading-edge rendering, graphics, and compute functions. PCIe Gen 4 doubles the bandwidth of the previous generation.

CPU Options

BOXX APEXX workstations enable numerous options for both GPUs and CPUs. The performance-tuned systems include multi-core 12th generation Intel Core CPUs, or alternatively, they can be configured with leading-edge AMD Ryzen or AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPUs, including configurations with overclocking and liquid cooling, ample memory, and hard drive options.

BOXX says that APEXX systems are purpose-built for media and entertainment, manufacturing and product design, architecture, engineering, and construction workflows.

“Demanding graphics and compute workflows require powerful purpose-built solutions,” said Sandeep Gupte, senior director of Professional Visualization at NVIDIA. “Innovative BOXX solutions accelerated by NVIDIA RTX GPUs give digital content creators and engineers extreme performance to run complex 3D and AI-accelerated applications from anywhere.”
