Lenovo Launches Next-Gen ThinkStation P620 With AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro

The Lenovo P620 is a powerhouse for multithreaded workloads boasting the latest AMD Ryzen Threaderipper PRO processor.

Lenovo today announced its next-generation ThinkStation P620 desktop workstation powered with the very latest AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO processor. The Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000WX-series processor boasts up to 25 percent performance improvement over the previous generation.

The new P620 from Lenovo is a tower workstation with a new 24-core CPU option, allowing for greater expansion and configurations for professional users.

Designed for creatives, architects, engineers, and designers, the ThinkStation P620 will help these professionals get more done in less time with performance-demanding applications for simulation, rendering, virtual reality, and more.

Lenovo launches next-generation ThinkStation P620 with the very latest AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO processor.

Ideal for multithreaded workflows, the workstation includes support for two NVIDIA RTX A6000 flagship graphics cards, up to 1TB of system memory and 20TB of storage.  Included:

  • PCIe Gen 4 for increased speed across storage, memory and graphics
  • Two times the L3 cache directly accessible per core compared to the previous generation CPU for reduced latency
  • Increased clock speeds up to 4.5GHz
  • Up to 64 core processor
  • 10GB of built-in ethernet – a new standard in connectivity
  • Windows 11 support

Used by Hollywood production animation house, Dreamworks Animation, the Lenovo P620 helps their award-winning CG films come to life. Such films require millions of compute hours and tremendous resources, deployed to hit demanding production schedules.
