Enscape Comes to Generative Design Disruptor App TestFit

Enscape rendering SDK technology in TestFit enables the generative design tool to better serve its users and end clients.

Enscape of Germany announced at its ENVISION 21 user conference back in late September that their new SDK (software development kit) would be coming to TestFit, enabling the popular generative design application aimed at the multi-housing market to tap into the power of Enscape’s rendering powers.

Real-Time Rendering

Enscape, which recently announced it is coming to the Mac platform, is one of a handful of surging real-time, interactive rendering software tools in AEC disrupting the AEC fields with approachable yet powerful photo-realistic rendering and animation abilities.

Enscape’s new SDK will enable TestFit users to leverage its real-time rendering engine to interactively engage and visualize commodity buildings such as apartments, condos, hotels, offices, and industrial buildings and their attendant parking structures during the feasibility phase.

“We chose Enscape because they are the best technically and most invested in AEC,” states Clifton Harness, CEO at TestFit. “The ability to leverage Enscape’s technology is going to bring significant value to TestFit’s users during site planning. Oftentimes, the first step users take after TestFit is to get a building into Enscape. This significantly shortens this route, and indeed the route of further iterations, by giving users instant building design and quantities, with stakeholder renderings—all within one application.”

Christian Lang, CEO of Enscape, explained in the company’s ENVISION 21 conference opening keynote how Enscape is growing rapidly, around the world and particularly in the large USA AEC market.

Enscape’s integration with TestFit removes a process step but it also enables real estate developers and architecture clients a more enhanced process of presenting optionality to development plans—moving beyond just plans and elevations to rendered visuals. Often times during early-stage work parts of a project have very high design value and can now be visualized during the feasibility stage when key adjustments can bear an impact on these parts of the project.

“We’re happy to have TestFit as our first SDK partner, offering our real-time rendering engine in more tools dedicated to improving the design process of the built environment,” said Christian Lang, CEO at Enscape. “This integration will make the initial phase of property planning much more visual and efficient for TestFit users and all project stakeholders.”

SDK Integration

Enscape is making its SDK available to select companies in the AEC industry as part of its commitment to innovative design technology.
