Nemetschek Group company SCIA has released SCIA Engineer version 21. The latest version of the popular structural analysis software for engineers in the AEC fields boasts a brand new user interface that minimizes the toolbars and palettes to their absolute minimums thereby making the model working space nearly 100 percent of the user’s screen space.

What’s New in SCIA Engineer V21

SCIA says which such big model viewing area there is less need for view adjustments to see your work, streamlining the user’s workflow. SCIA Spotlight is a new technology that allows the user to just start typing the function they are looking for to enable the selection of the tool. This feature suggests all related functions and commands. Keyboard shortcuts can be assigned directly into the search-results list in SCIA Spotlight as well. The new feature eliminates menu browsing time for rarely used functions reducing finding those tools by up to 80 percent.

The latest version of SCIA Engineer boasts a brand new user interface that streamlines structural engineering analysis workflows.

There is a new smart workstation and process toolbar allowing the user to control which process—such as structure, loads, results, etc—they are involved in and adapt the process toolbar items quickly keeping the workspace clean and tidy. Process toolbars allow for access to two workstations simultaneously and time spent on modifications to the model can be reduced by 50 percent.

SCIA Engineer v21 now supports instant customization—part of your standard workflow. Whenever you want to move an icon to another toolbar the user can just do it. Favorite commands and tools can be grouped into a “Favorites” toolbar. These features along with the UI changes greatly enhance and support customer experiences and performance based on enabling such exacting customizations.

Other New Items

Making complex selections is now 2x faster. Selecting an entity now provides direct access to all associated entities for editing and modifications. The user can expand or isolate the current selection to create even more complex selections in just a few clicks.

These are the highlight new features in the latest version of SCIA Engineer. Standard SCIA Engineer Editions cover all engineering analysis and design tasks and importantly include tools for structural BIM, support for drawings, and preparation of documentation.

SCIA Engineer V21 has editions (Concept, Professional, Expert, Ultimate, and Steel). SCIA Engineer is a leading multi-material structural engineering software package with interoperability for IFC, a Revit link, a Tekla link, and an eTabs link.
