GRAPHISOFT and SIMBIM Solutions to support European BIM Summit Next Month

The European BIM Summit takes places in April 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. GRAPHISOFT and its distributor in Spain (SIMBIM Solutions) will be supporting the event.

GRAPHISOFT and SIMBIM Solutions, their distributor for ARCHICAD in Spain, will be proud sponsors of the European BIM Summit 2019 (EBS19), held next month in Barcelona, Spain. The dates are April 11 – 12.

European International BIM Summit — Reference Point for Advanced BIM Users

The European BIM Summit is an international reference point for advanced BIM users meeting in Europe. The theme this year is on knowledge transfer of BIM experience from the well tested and BIM experienced Nordic countries.

GRAPHISOFT and SIMBIM will contribute to the content of this event in two main areas. OPEN BIM and the new GRAPHISOFT BIM Classes and certification process that has been implemented in Spain.

Finland the BIM Leader

Day one of the EBS19 will be focused on the application of BIM in the Nordic countries where BIM technology has advanced the furthest. Themes of talks will delve into topics like services and practice methodologies aimed at maintaining and managing the built heritage or the role fo the FM (facility manager).

The second and last day will be dedicated to discussing the future of BIM. International BIM experts will discuss collaborative workflows, new services and the growth in international start-ups, Blockchain, and more than 14 case studies about everything BIM will offer in the near future.

GRAPHISOFT will have three presenters at this conference. (see image). They include Milkós Szövényi-Lux, head of strategic relations at GRAPHISOFT, Rob Roef (BIM Captain), OPEN BIM program manager at GRAPHISOFT, and Ioanna Alsasua Pastrana, Senior BIM Consultant at SIMBIM in Spain and Andorra.

  • April 10, 18:00 CET — Presenting BIM Standards Worldwide – Milkós Szövényi-Lux
  • April 10, 18:00 CET — Presenting best BIM workflow practices through GRAPHISOFT BIM classes and certification, Ioanna Alsasua Pastrana
  • April 11, 16:00 CET — Presenting Why Open BIM Works, Rob Roef

The summit starts with an initiative to support local professionals and students with free, pre-summit events such as BIM4Students and the BIM Experience event at CAATEEB headquarters. These open and free admission events will allow Spain’s professionals and managers to discover the latest developments in the market, including both products and services.
