Bentley’s subsidiary, e-on Software, has announced that they have established a partnership with Hollywood visual effects school, Gnomon. Often referred to as the “MIT of Visual Effects” in the industry, Gnomon is educating the world’s next generation of digital artists and visual effects professionals.

“We are honored to collaborate with Gnomon, and this partnership will give us an opportunity to interact with new CG artists and animators,” said Mathieu Riveccie, business development manager, at e-on Software.

Partnership Details—Around VUE and PlantFactory

The new agreement means that VUE and PlantFactory, leading products by e-on software, will be deployed in the school’s computer labs and also integrated into digital environment creation courses.

“We are honored to collaborate with Gnomon, and this partnership will give us an opportunity to interact with new CG artists and animators,”

“The Gnomon relationship offers Bentley Systems and e-on the opportunity to support students in the media and entertainment (M&E), game development, and visual effects communities, who are likely to be future users of our tools,” said Noah Eckhouse, senior vice president, portfolio development, Bentley Systems.

What Students Can Now Do

Gnomon students will be able to create stunning 3D CGI environments with VUE and PlantFactory software systems, designing and rendering scenes in leading 3D software packages like 3ds max, Maya, LightWave, and Cinema 4D.
