Earlier this month EIZO, who was at SIGGRAPH last week, announced they are shipping two new 4K monitors (displays) in North America. These new displays are ideal for high-end professional color work in fields such as film editing, visual effects (VFX), photography, and graphics and 3D rendering (CGI).
The new new units are the EIZO ColorEdge CG318-4K, a 31-inch monitor, and the ColorEdge CG248-4K, a 23.8-inch monitor.
The ColorEdge CG318-4K features a DCI-4K, 4096 x 2160 native resolution, and is ideal for the fields mentioned above but broadcast media in particular. The monitor received the NewBay Media Best of Show Award, presented at the 2015 NAB show in Las Vegas by Digital Video Magazine.
The ColorEdge CG248-4K features an ultra-high-definition (UDH) 4K, 3840 x 2160 native resolution, and high-density 185 pixels per inch (PPI), making this product ideal for high-resolution photography or as a reference monitor for 4K video creation.
Both products features built-in calibration sensor technology and enable scheduled self-calibration for hassle-free, fully automated color management.
