The Nemetschek Group, headquartered in Munich, Germany, this week announced a brand new corporate design for the entirety of its brand, group and sub-brands. The main elements are the new logo and the launch of the new website, which reinforce the alignment of the Group as an internationally leading software provider for the entire life cycle of buildings. The addition of “Group” is a clear reference to the group structure of a strategic parent company with strong, independent brands.

Worldwide Consistency

The Nemetschek Group has noted that an external appearance which is consistent worldwide will make the international alignment of the Nemetschek Group and the common bond of the brands clear: “A NEMETSCHEK COMPANY” will be added to every brand in the course of the upcoming year. This allows the brands to present a face to the customer which showcases their individual strengths, make it possible for them to distinguish themselves from each other and at the same time remain recognizable as members of a strongly positioned international corporate group and as Nemetschek brands.

Parallel to the new logo, the website www.nemetschek.com has been completely redesigned: clear structures, new imagery with strong visual representation and fast access to all important information are the main features of the new website.

“The new appearance helps us improve they way we are perceived in the international AEC market as a group with strong brands and simultaneously creates a bond between all brands,” says Patrik Heider, Spokesman and CFOO of the Nemetschek Group.

“The website provides very clear indication of where are our competencies lie and what added value we can offer customers as a result of our strength as a group, namely a wide range of Open BIM software solutions for all phases of the building process,” comments Heider regarding the new corporate design.

Architosh Commentary

The NEMETSCHEK GROUP’S new website does a much better job of graphically communicating its market segments in a way that strongly connects the value chain in AEC. Interestingly, in a way, the group’s overall balance of markets makes it look like a smaller version of Autodesk without the MCAD segments, since the group has a big presence in Multimedia with its very successful Maxon company. It will be interesting to see if long term if that market matters to the group as a whole but today it adds strategic value in the incorporation of the CINEMA 4D rendering engine and pipeline extension in visualization for AEC as a whole.

Since the company is in the M&A state of mind these days, the segmentation graphic helps the larger market to maybe understand where the group may want to move next in terms of new targets.
