Gehry Technology’s GTeam is an award-winning online BIM (building information modeling) software solution that works through your modern web browser on multiple platforms and across Apple’s iPad as well.
The company has announced that Tuesday, 25 March 2014, at 12:00 PM PDT, GT will be hosting an Advanced GTeam Introduction webinar for free.
The popular program is designed for anyone to use in the AECO (architecture, engineering, construction and owners) market, enabling multiple stakeholders to engage with their design and engineering teams and clients to help accelerate building construction projects.
What’s Cool and New?
Some things that are new and cool about GTeam include the ability to move models to align them in 3D. The ability to embed GTeam models in your own webpages. Or write custom resorts and scripts to automate GTeam.
For those who are already using GTeam this webinar will teach you everything you need to know to become an expert GTeam user. If you are new to GTeam this is a good introduction as well. Webinar details include:
- Combine multiple files together in one view
- Use Snapshots to collaborate
- Work with 3D revisions
- Create and manage tasks status
- Run cloud-based Class Detection reports
- Learn how to generate standard and custom reports
- Use permissions to control who sees what, even people outside of GTeam
- Take a peak at the GTeam API (application programming interface) to learn about how to embed 3D models just like you work with embedding a YouTube video
- Learn how to Script GTeam

Architosh Analysis
Last year’s Architosh AIA BEST OF SHOW award winner for the BIM category was Gehry Technologies’ GTeam. This is a company that doesn’t make frequent big splash news so it is not always easy to understand what they are up to with their products and services. We have learned recently that the company is making progress on many fronts, which is good as this is a leading contender, according to our research, for online BIM collaboration amongst quite a few qualified players in the industry. When firms look or review online BIM collaboration tools they GTeam is typically on their shortlist. What is particularly interesting for us to watch is how this product evolves with respect to multiple platforms and its mobile platform capabilities, as it strives to compete with its very capable competition.
