Nemetschek Scia is previewing what it calls the first centralized BIM solution for steel fabrication at an event that kicks off today (17 April) through 18 April 2013 at the Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel, in St. Louis, Missouri. Nemetschek Scia will preview Scia Steel Manager at this exclusive event which is open to fabricators who are using SDS/2 and/or Tekla for steel detailing.
Scia Steel Manager
Scia Steel Manager is an software workflow tool that links engineering and detailing of steel structural systems with project management, material resource planning and production management into one integrated process, thereby eliminating the inefficiencies that come with having to manage projects across various software used in the steel delivery process.
With this tool fabricators can seamlessly leverage BIM models and data, from design through erection. It improves decision-making, eliminates redundancies and shortens project schedules by centralizing all design, project and production information in a single integrated system. It makes possible the ability to monitor and visualize in 3D the status of any part from the order to erection, with a single click.
- Model-based fabrication management linked to SDS/2 or Tekla Structures
- Visualization of most efficient erection and production sequencing
- Real-time visualization of the design, production, delivery and erection of single or multiple projects
- Automatic ability to create short to medium fabrication plans directly from SDS/2 or Tekla Structures models
- And many more features…
