Nemetschek Vectorworks Inc., (formerly Nemetschek North America, makers of the popular Vectorworks CAD/BIM software products) have announced a partnership with sister company Maxon Computer today. Beginning with the next release of Vectorworks software, which will be available in mid September, 2010, the company’s Renderworks rendering application will be based on Maxon’s CINEMA 4D rendering engine.

“The CINEMA 4D render engine is blazingly fast, and now Renderworks 2011 offers this speed to our customers, completely integrated into their Vectorworks workflows”, said Sean Flaherty, CEO of Nemetschek Vectorworks. “With improved speed, rendering quality and 64-bit support, virtually every aspect of the Renderworks experience is improved.”

Although Maxon Computer produces excellent add-on modules for their Architectural Edition to enable roundtrip capability between CINEMA 4D and Vectorworks this latest change to Renderworks means a large section of users, who do not need all the advanced features of CINEMA 4D, can benefit from its rendering engine all without leaving the Vectorworks product line. “This is a truly integrated visualization solution courtesy of the Nemeschek group,” said Flaherty.

The newest version of CINEMA 4D software, release 12, issued today also, includes breakthrough new tools that cater to the needs of 3D visualization professionals. It is an ideal solution for architects and designers using Vectorworks with Renderworks who desire extra realism and an unlimited choice of rendering options.

“Both companies have worked closely together to deliver the best possible experience for Vectorworks users when it comes to creating high-quality visualizations. We are excited to present this integrated solution for architects and designers that offers easy-to-use tools and state-of-the-art technology for the successful realization of professional projects,” said Harald Egel, CEO and co-founder of MAXON. CINEMA 4D Release 12 is now available for purchase through most Vectorworks distributors worldwide.
