V-Ray for SketchUp Mac Edition – Pre-order

Google’s SketchUp for Mac to gain V-Ray — one of the world’s premier rendering engines

The V-Ray rendering engine will soon be available for the Mac version of SketchUp and it can be pre-ordered here. The product will be available worldwide.

V-Ray Mac Edition for SketchUp

By purchasing prior to Dec 18, 2009, you will receive a $200 USD savings from SRP. V-Ray for SketchUp Mac Edition is still in beta and the final release has an estimated delivery date of January 2, 2010. The product will be available for download only. There will be no shipping costs.

V-Ray for SketchUp Mac Edition will support SketchUp versions 6 and 7. V-Ray is a world-renowned software in the rendering world and the Mac version for SketchUp is the second implementation after the V-Ray release for Cinema 4D for Mac back in 2008.

V-Ray is a fully multithreaded raytracing engined with true HDRI support, per material Global Illumination, Caustics, and physical sky, sun and cameras. Native SketchUp materials are supported and integrated into V-Ray materials.

  1. You Mac SketchUp users should be pretty excited about this news. Vray is very much the preferred rendering engine of many of the world’s leading visualization professionals. When Vray for Cinema4D came out last that seemed to mark an exciting beginning for this great renderer on the Mac, but Vray for SketchUp Mac will make it even more well-known and popular.
