Pixologic introduces new add-on tools for ZBrush

Pixologic Introduces Decimation Master and 3D Print Exporter – Plugins for their popular ZBrush 3D application for Mac and Windows

Pixologic has introduced this week two new software tools for ZBrush users on Mac and Windows: Decimation Master and 3D Print Exporter.

Decimation Master

Decimation Master is a solution focused on optimizing the polygon counts of models with minimal loss of visual quality. This goes hand in hand with 3D Print Exporter, which opens up the world of rapid prototyping and 3D printing to all ZBrush artists.

Decimation Master allows artists to drastically reduce the number of polygons in a high-resolution 3D model while preserving its visual appearance. This optimization is useful for game development and the production of game assets, as well as preparations for rapid prototyping.

3D Print Exporter

3D Print Exporter takes ZBrush models and exports them to the industry standard STL format (both ASCII and Binary) for 3D printers. ZBrush allows you to set the size of your models in inches or millimeter units. On top of that the VRML format has been added with vertex color support, to improve compatibility with ZCorp’s series of printers and other printers that can do 3D printing in full color.

Both plugins will be available free for registered ZBrush users (on Windows this week) and on the Mac within 30 days. To learn more about ZBrush visit them on the Web here: www.pixologic.com
