Just last week Nemetschek North America announced that they are now using Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper. Now all the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) ensures that paper carrying its certification comes from well-managed forests that are environmentally responsible, socially equitable, and economically viable. Because this paper will be used in all of Nemetschek’s product packaging and much of its collateral materials, it is very quite exciting.
“Using FSC-certified papers for a significant portion of our printed material is one way that we can align our values with those of our customers.” says Nemetschek N.A. CEO Sean Flaherty.
FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. FSC helps with forest management, such as biodiversity, sensitive aquatic habitats, unique species, and plant and animal habitats along with labor rights, indigenous people and social and community values.
“Our clients design habitats. We’re helping to protect them. We’re grateful to the Forest Stewardship Council for setting the gold standard in forest management practices, and we’re pleased to strengthen their capacity by choosing FSC-certified papers.” Says Flaherty
