On October 22, 2008, LightWork Design, a supplier of advanced 3D computer graphics software, announced the winner of the latest LightWorks Image Competition.
But before anything visit the Competition, for the images speak for themselves.
Since established in 1989, LightWork Design has provided customers with innovative, market-focused solutions for powerful and easy-to use rendering applications. They are famous for their software’s accurate visualizations of real-world objects and environments. The perfect software for any industrial designer or illustrator.
The winner is New Zealander, Kheang Chrun, who does freelance illustration work, primarily of cars.
“One major feature of trueSpace which sets it apart from other mid range 3D graphic authoring tools is the fully integrated LightWorks rendering engine. To achieve photorealistic renderings of cars, I need a render engine which can accurately reproduce materials specific to cars such as glass for the lights, chrome, metallic paint and so on. The LightWorks render engine has a vast collection of shaders that allow me to quickly and easily achieve the effects I want.” says Chrun.
In addition, runners up prizes have been awarded to Andrew Parks: for his ‘East Street Lofts interior’ image created using FormZ Renderzone and Flavio Adriani: for his Valve Amplifier image created using trueSpace. Both receive iTunes vouchers. YAY!
David Forrester, Managing Director at LightWork Design commented, “It’s good to see the pan global appeal of our image competition, with high quality entrants from all parts of the world.”
Entry to the next quarter of the competition is now open and LightWorks users are encouraged to send in their work before the closing date of 31st December 2008.
