Microspot releases 3D Toolbox for Apple Mac Computers

Microspot of the United Kingdom has released a free, easy to use 3D modeling application for editing and printing both 3DS and Google SketchUp models in addition to legacy Apple QuickDraw 3D


Microspot Ltd, of Maidstone, UK, has released 3D Toolbox for the Mac platform exclusively. The new, free and easy to use 3D application enables users to expand the application and “build their own app” through expansion modules. The free version supports the opening, editing and printing of popular 3DS (3D Studio Max) files and Google SketchUp files.

The free version can be expanded for a very low fee to support advanced modeling, rendering and animation. You can upgrade to support high resolution QuickTime translatable picture format and saving to 3DMF. The expansion packs include:

  • Light and Render Pack
  • Texture Pack
  • Camera and Alignment Pack
  • Animation Pack
  • Basic Modeler Pack
  • Advanced Modeler Pack 1
  • Advanced Modeler Pack 2
  • Wall Tools Pack

Most of these packs sell for 23 to 32 euro.
