Nemetschek Group’s Vectorworks brand has introduced its new AI Assistant (Preview) feature within the latest Vectorworks 2025 product line (update 5). This new AI technology was demonstrated to attendees at AIA25 Boston last week.

The new artificial intelligence technology is an innovative new feature set that provides users with instant and accurate answers to their Vectorworks questions. The new AI Assistant is “preview” technology and therefore the first salvo in larger upcoming AI technologies coming to the popular CAD/BIM platform.

The new features mark the first phase of integrating artificial intelligence technology into Vectorworks learning. Future phases will deliver more intelligent and personalized assistance, as well as time-saving solutions, for users.
To activate the new AI Assistant, the user will access the features in the Help menu.The solution provides context-aware answers to questions helping users more quickly master Vectorworks and keep working. The AI Assistant (Preview) is more than just a simple chatbot and provides several aspects beyond that, including:
- Confidence Scores – Communicates how reliable each answer is.
- Language Localization – Automatically adjusts based on browser settings.
- Built-in Feedback – Users can rate responses and contribute to the tool’s improvement.
- Resource Integration – Direct links to Vectorworks Help and Vectorworks University for deeper learning.
