Swiss-based ProgeSOFT SA, a founding member of ITC (IntelliCAD Technology Consortium), has announced the release of iCADMac 2025, a full native DWG/DXF CAD software program that runs natively on both ARM and Intel Macs.
The company says this is a major release of its CAD solution for the Mac user base, and the solution is certified for macOS Sequoia (v15), offering full compatibility with the lastest macOS and is also compatible with macOS Sonoma (v14), and Ventura (v13).
iCADMac 2025
iCADMac 2025 is a highly affordable CAD option for users interested in working in native DWG and DXF file formats. In other words, likely users who have experience with AutoCAD or need to work with DWG files.

progeSOFT releases new iCADMac 2025 update with major new features and leading-edge compatibility with macOS and AutoCAD.
iCADMac 2025 features a familiar AutoCAD®-like user interface, much like other DWG native AutoCAD competitors. But unlike AutoCAD, iCADMac 2025 is offered in perpetual license options (again, similar to other AutoCAD competitors).
iCADMac 2025 is compatible with DWG file formats from version 2.5 to AutoCAD 2025. It can both import and export to PDF, including with Layer support. It supports grayscale output, PDF layer, TrueType font embedding, and document properties.
On the 3D side, iCADMac 2025 reads and writes 3D solid objects with the ACIS® Solid Modeling libraries. This provides critical support for industrial, mechanical, and architectural designers who require complex 3D assemblies and models.
New in version 2025
The highlights of what is new in version 2025 include the new support for the latest macOS operating systems, full ARM and Intel macOS support, and full support and improved stability and performance for ARM-chip-based Macs (all new Macs).
Other highlights include:
- Model space Viewport controls — new controls at the top left of each corner of a viewport provide a convenient way to change views, visual styles and other settings.
- New Dimensions Styles dialog — helps recent AutoCAD users edit dimension styles in a manner closely resembling AutoCAD.
- Redesigned Options dialog — Containing a wide variety of settings that allow for extensive customization of the application. A new search tool helps users find the specific setting they need.
- 450 Dynamic Blocks — expanded library of free dynamic blocks for users to use, now available through tool palettes. They are all compatible with AutoCAD.
- Break Tables — Sometimes tables don’t fit on a page and you need to break them across multiple sheets or side by side. Now you can do this with Table Break command.
- Visual Styles from AutoCAD Support — Visual style support across AutoCAD to iCADMac 2025 means these items appear the same.
- Export to DGN — Now adding to the ability to import DGN, the round-trip compatibility with Microstation is complete.
- And more great features here.
