Well-known Autodesk Vice President of AEC and AutoCAD Strategy Nicolas Mangon will be the BACTalks 2025 Keynote Speaker this Thursday, April 2nd.
Resilience and Rebuilding
Echoing this year’s theme of Urban Resilience and Reconstruction by Design, Mangon’s keynote (which is virtual so users around the world can tune in) will explore how technology supported the rebuilding efforts following disasters like the fire at the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, and the recovering of the Freedom Tower, Fukishima, and Los Angeles.

The BACTALKs 2025 will feature Autodesk VP Nicolas Mangon as its keynote speaker this week where he will discuss technology’s role in urban reconstruction with example projects like the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Mangon is a well-known expert in advancing BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology in AEC/O and the industry’s transition to the cloud. He is a frequent speaker at Autodesk University each year, typically involved in the significant keynotes for AEC, as well as in numerous other events around the world. Mangon has played a key role in Autodesk’s efforts with reconstruction and in urban revitalization, including in the Notre-Dame de Paris reconstruction project after the great fire. Notre-Dame de Paris, the BIM model inside Autodesk Revit software. The model was produced by a specialized team at Autodesk and is part of the company’s technical assistance to the reconstruction. The company also contributed to the worldwide and corporate cash donations for the cathedral, which today total over 1 billion USD. (click image for larger view)
