This month, Graphisoft, the developers of BIM software Archicad, announced that The Architect’s Newspaper had recognized BIMx with Apple Vision Pro for its 2024 Best of Products Award.

BIMx began as an iOS mobile app with groundbreaking UI features that are still unmatched today. BIMx serves as a bridge between the architectural design studio and the construction site and enables design and construction professionals to both collaborate and communicate throughout the project lifecycle.

Model Streaming Technology
The award-winning app has been elevated in recent updates, including utilizing new streaming model technology that gives users the power to stream even massive models quite effortlessly. Also new in recent BIMx updates are new features that enable precise sun positioning for truly accurate sun-shade shadow analyses.
BIMx’s landmark unique feature is its ability to overlay the 2D drawings that are created in Archicad with the 3D BIM model itself in a way that allows the user to see them together, thus lifting one’s ability to understand the building more fully.
