Maxon has announced that its suite of video transitions and effects plugins software, Universe 5.1, now offers support for Apple Silicon-based Mac computers.

A much-requested feature, the newest version of Universe was completely rebuilt to provide a more future-proof and flexible foundation, says Maxon. The Javascript code has been replaced with C++ and the new foundational updates pave the way for more creative powerful tools in the future.
Universe 5. 1 does more than add M1 chip support. There are major bug fixes for Adobe Premier and minor enhancements made to the solution as well.
Universe 5.1 from Maxon now supports M1 Macs.
These updates and features are included with the maintenance release and are available immediately with the Maxon App.
