The Nemetschek Group has participated in a series A financing round for fast-growing contech startup Sablono. Nemetschek has been involved in the company since its foundation.

What is Sablono?

Sablono touts itself as the world’s first “construction execution platform.” Fundamentally the software solution is in the same space as US-based Procore which that company has touted as a “construction OS” as in construction operating system.

The software company is a market leader in digital lean technology for the construction enterprise. It has raised EUR 5.3 million to accelerate international growth and execute its first-to-market advantage to establish Sablono as a mission-critical next-generation platform for AEC. Currently, the company’s software technology is being used to manage massive projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, London, and Berlin among other locations in the world.

Sablono has received ERU 5.3 million in series A funding round which the Nemetschek Group has been a part of. The Nemetschek Group has also been a seed investor in Sablono.

Sablono is web-based technology and is focused on processes in the construction project management and project controls domain with the ability to scale beyond 100,000 activities in a single project. The software system is built for managing vast construction projects and features Time, Quality, and Cost aspects of the construction process and their integrated impacts on each other.

Sablono’s technology is aimed squarely at transforming offices and site construction trailers into “digital production control rooms.” The software uses innovative custom coloring schema to help professionals gain at a glance understanding of projects. With dedicated mobile apps, users can focus on “activities” and assigned task management wherever they are and work with QA checklists in the field.

In addition to Nemetschek, Sablono gained industry expert Thomas Backmaier as a lead investor in this Series A round. Matt Wheelis, VP Industry Strategy Build & Construct Vision at the Nemetschek Group, and Thomas Backmaier will join Sablono’s Advisory Board.
