Robert McNeel & Associates, the makers of the popular software duo, Rhino 3D and Grasshopper, have announced a new book on AAD (algorithms-aided design), actually, a book focused on the essential algorithms and data structures for Grasshopper.
New Book Details
Rajaa Issa of McNeel has written to Architosh saying “This new publication by McNeel introduces effective methodologies to develop complex 3D modeling algorithms using Grasshopper.”
Continuing, “It also covers extensively the data structure adopted by Grasshopper and its core organization and management tools. The material is directed towards designers who are interested in parametric design and have little or no background in programming.”
The book is not for Grasshopper beginners but rather for those existing GH users who are familiar with GH and its structure and user interface. The book is broken into three chapters. (see images below) and include:
- Chapter One: Algorithms and Data
- Chapter Two: Introduction to Data Structures
- Chapter Three: Advanced Data Structures
The book has several tutorials throughout, which will aid the reader’s understanding.
