ARCHICAD has won another industry award, this one being the Architects’ Darling Award 2018, Gold Winner in the Architecture Software category. Each year, Heinze Marktforschung presents these awards across an array of AEC industry categories. In total there were 23 product areas, from facade systems to thermal insulation systems.
Architects’ Darling Awards 2018
Winners across this award program in Germany are chosen by the public through a survey. In addition, 12 thematic awards were presented. These were selected by a jury of communication experts and renowned representatives of top international architecture firms.
01 – GRAPHISOFT’S ARCHICAD wins the ‘Architects’ Darling Award 2018 Gold in Germany for Best Architecture software.

How ARCHICAD Won
The voting results are shown below across the criteria used to adjudge the architectural software solutions represented in the voting. Evaluation criteria included Clarity, User-Friendliness, Efficiency, Flexibility, and Interoperability.
02 – ARCHICAD has won the Architects Darling Award in Germany for best Architectural Software.
According to GRAPHISOFT, its BIM software ARCHICAD pays particular attention to the items defined in the evaluating criteria and thus offers a clear and simple user interface. ARCHICAD is known for its ease of use, flexibility in achieving various ends and offers advanced functionality such as its integrations with Rhino and Grasshopper for advanced algorithmic-aided design (AAD). The company sets a high standard for the Open BIM formats such as IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) and BCF (BIM Collaboration Format).
