Autodesk has announced its finalists for the 2016 Autodesk AEC Excellent Awards competition, on their official blog, In the Fold.
Excellence Awards Competition: At A Glance
Autodesk’s official competition at a glance looks like this: There were 162 submissions—a new record for the event. Nearly 30 countries were represented and China had the highest number of overall submissions followed by the United States and India. There are 20 award categories.
Winners of the competition will be announced at Autodesk University, 16 November 2016.
More Details
The 2016 Autodesk AEC Excellence Awards is a bit of an offshoot from Autodesk’s previous Excellence in Infrastructure Competition, the latter being designed to showcase stellar examples of Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects in action within the civil engineering industry in particular.
This year, the competition now includes building and construction categories and is aimed more at a broader swath in AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction)—embracing the “future of making things” mantra at Autodesk.
The announcement this week sets the stage for the finalists and winners at AU in a few months. You can learn more and see a slideshow of the finalists at this link here.
