BricsCAD Has New US Home Website
The US-based BricsCAD team has informed Architosh that the company has a new home in the United States CAD market where, along with several other rival DWG-native CAD programs, is aiming at clipping away at Autodesk’s massive AutoCAD marketshare.
This is a consistent storyline with all the DWG-native offerings, of which there are several very strong and growing companies, including Bricssys, Graebert of Germany, Dassault Systemes with DraftSight (an ARES OEM licensee), and US-based IMSI-Design with its number one retail CAD line that includes TurboCAD.

IMSI Ships TurboCAD LTE Pro v8 for Windows 10
And speaking of market-leaders and DWG-CADs, IMSI has announced that TurboCAD LTE Pro v8, its TurboCAD product designed to be warmly familiar to AutoCAD users, has announced its latest version for Windows 10.
The updates preps TurboCAD LTE for Windows 10, Microsoft’s latest operating system. Recently Architosh interviewed Bob Mayer of IMSI-Design to talk about all things TurboCAD here.

TurboCAD LTE Pro v8 is a full-featured 2.5D CAD software package designed to mirror functionality, feel and performance of the popular AutoCAD LT package by Autodesk, except at a lower price point.
Unlike that latter product, TurboCAD LTE Pro v8 features import and export of IFC (industry foundation classes) for seamless BIM workflows, enabling CAD professionals AEC industries producing manufacturing and shop drawings to take in BIM data for use and turn BIM data around in useful ways for common AEC workflows.
Kolbe Windows & Doors Expands 3D Models Library
Window manufacturer, Kolbe Windows & Doors, of Wisconsin, United States, has expanded its online Architect Library to include new and updated 3D Revit BIM models for its Ultra Series and VistaLux Collection products. Among the new VistaLuxe Collection are the new 90-degree corner unit, a modern glass minimal corner window, plus complementary doors and folding windows.
