FileMaker this week announced the “Performance” guide, a free, 30-page electronic guide to building high-performance custom FileMaker solutions that run on iPad, iPhone, Windows, Mac and the web. First in a series of FileMaker guides focused on solution design, the Performance guide is available immediately for download via the FileMaker Technical Network, the free-to-join online resource network and community for FileMaker developers and enthusiasts.
“The Performance guide helps new users to optimize their new FileMaker solutions and experienced developers to tune up their existing solutions,” said Ryan Rosenberg, vice president, marketing and services for FileMaker. “High-performing solutions are easier for developers to maintain and more enjoyable for people to use.”
The guide identifies the top factors that affect performance. In simple language, it details how to apply best practices to enhance actual solution performance. Readers will learn how to:
- Create efficient solutions that send the optimal amount of information
- Offload automation tasks to FileMaker server so solutions run faster when accessed from FileMaker Go for iPad and iPhone
- Design solutions that are easier to maintain and more delightful to use
On Oct. 28, FileMaker will hold a free webinar titled “Eight ways to make FileMaker databases run even faster,” with FileMaker Certified Developer and Authorized Trainer Mark Richman of Skeleton Key and FileMaker Technical Marketing Manager Matthew O’Dell.
