Nemetschek Vectorworks’ BIM Camp continues to travel the country and will arrive in Chicago for a one-day seminar on Thursday, 18 April 2013. The event will take place from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm CDT, in Wabash Conference Room at 35 East Wacker Drive.

Perfect for architects considering a transition to a Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflow, BIM Camp provides attendees with the skills they need to better understand how IFC-based standards benefit design teams, create sustainable and high-performing designs, and collaborate through Open BIM. Attendees can earn four AIA/CES/HSW or LA CES PDH for continuing education and will also receive a BIM Survival Kit filled with presentation materials and other resources.

01 - BIM Camp takes place in Washington DC and is worth 4 AIA/CES.

Sessions include “Small Green BIM” presented by François Lévy, AIA, AIAA, and author of BIM in Small-Scale Sustainable Design, “Plugging Structural Analysis and Design into the BIM Workflow” presented by Dan Monaghan from Nemetschek Scia, and “Legal Issues in BIM” presented by a local attorney. Please visit the event registration page to view the full agenda. (http://www.eventbrite.com/event/5605024780/PR#)

Early-bird discounts are available to those who sign up by 22 March 2013. Registration funds will fund the Vectorworks Young Architects Student Scholarship to be awarded later this year.
