Earlier this month Pixologic announced the release of ZBrush 4R5 (version 4 release 5). Back in 2012 Pixologic managed to release four new versions of the award-winning 3D software, now the company kicks off 2013 with this latest release.
ZBrush 4R5 focuses on usability improvements such as Dynamic Brush Size control, Mouse Wheel support, Quick/Auto Save functions and more. Pixologic says that with 4R5 users can generate cleaner topology faster than in previous versions.
ZBrush 4R5 also includes rendering enhancements, including a Posterization setting which produces graphic illustration effect similar to the use of Adobe Photoshop. Other rendering tweaks include a new Vibrant slider for a global setting change. It is no longer necessary to individually edit materials when you want them all to share the same value. And the renderer can now export to PNG format with full transparency support and/or depth support as an Alpha.
