CadFaster has updated its market-leading CAD 3D model viewing and markup app for Apple’s iPad device. The new CadFaster iPad app is now at version 2.0.0 and includes numerous updates.
Additionally, both CadFaster plugins for Bentley Microstation and Autodesk Revit have been updated as well. The Bentley SELECT series 3 plugin (compatible with AECOsim Building Designer and MicroStation) has been updated to support high-security corporate proxy servers and the new version also supports mobile viewing of large DNG files when used in conjunction with the new updated iPad app.
Autodesk Revit’s CadFaster plugin also supports high-security corporate proxy servers and larger Revit model viewing on the updated iPad app.

CadFaster iPad app 2.0.0 Update
New in CadFaster for iPad v2.0.0 is support for larger models. There is a new super fast model loading and local cache optimizations, support for new CadFaster Cloud Services 2.0, and cloud-based model healing and optimizations. Finally, there is support for alternate screen orientations in the whole app and other minor improvements.

CadFaster’s latest update is solid and the large-model support and optimizations are naturally very important. Earlier in the fall the company also updated its support of Vectorworks to support the latest 2013 release of that application. Additionally, that update also added high-quality, high-resolution textures, bitmap colors and image props useful in both architecture and landscape architecture design.
