We recently published news of Epson America’s entry into the competitive wide-format printer/plotter market, where the likes of HP, Canon and Oce battle for the attention of AEC professionals. But clearly Epson means business and this year demonstrated it at Autodesk University where they proudly showed their recently introduced T-series, cross-platform, color plotter line-up.

Epson SureColor T-Series at AU

Epson’s SureColor T3000, T5000 and T7000 plotters were shown in booth #645 and the company offered hands-on demonstrations. The whole series works with both Mac and Windows computers.

01 - Epson's new SureCOlor T3000, T5000 and T7000 technical color plotters offer Mac and Windows-based AEC and GIS professionals a stunning new line of options for their large-format needs.

The new SureColor T-series plotters are designed to be attractive to smaller studios and firms and offer outstanding performance and features to price ratios. In addition to ongoing technology demonstrations at the booth, Epson also supported this year’s Creative Studio and Education Lounge with its latest tools and technology for digital content creation and design professionals–the Epson Stylus Photo R2000 and R3000 13-inch printers. The lounge gives designers the ability to be creative, experiment with designs, and mix mediums in new and creative ways.

The Epson R2000 features Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss 2 pigment ink, with Red and Orange inks for brilliant color, yielding beautiful archival prints on glossy or fine art papers. The Epson R3000 features Epson UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta pigment ink and advanced media handling to print archival fine art prints on a wide range of papers. With high-density pigment and three-level blacks inks, the R3000 produces professional prints in vivid color with breathtaking blues and violets or gallery-quality black-and-white output.

02 - Epson's R3000 printer was showcased at Autodesk University where the company was touting its new line of color wide-format plotters to AEC pros.
