New Benchmark Estimating Software plugin for Vectorworks Landmark

A new plugin is available for Vectorworks Landmark design software that allows designers and landscape architects to utilize the Benchmark Estimating Software now available. Founded in Australia in 1996, Benchmark Estimating Software is used globally by leading landscape firms to create accurate and professional estimates.

“For a design and landscaping firm, the scalability of the business is all about the number of projects that can be completed simultaneously. But itʼs not just about volume—itʼs also about making sure projects are manageable and profitable, particularly in todayʼs economy,” says Adrian Slatter, Sales Director at Design Software Solutions (one of our Vectorworks resellers in the UK). “One issue facing these firms is the need to re-enter all the information from the design software it has used into the estimating software it also uses. This takes time, costs money and can introduce errors,” he continues.

01 - Benchmark Estimating plugin for Vectorworks Landmark allows landscape design professionals to integrate estimation through the utilization of Benchmark's software.

Benchmark Plugin

The Benchmark plugin to Vectorworks adds a menu item that allows the user to attach a takeoff to any drawn object in the Vectorworks program. Once the take-off is complete, the user exports the data to a file that the Benchmark Estimating Software can now import in and understand. Within Benchmark the user runs the Import from Vectorworks command and the software automatically generates the relevant sections and specifications for the objects and creates an estimate.

The Vectorworks plugin is priced at 299 euro. To learn more please visit Design Software Solutions.
