McNeel and Associates has released a new version of Rhino 5 for Mac, called Rhinoceros 5 for OS X WIP (Work in Progress). This Mac build of the upcoming Rhino 5 is a late development beta and is up to date with the latest Windows build.
Rhino 5 has been a major release under development for some time now and is highly anticipated. Everyone is invited to download and use the OS X version of Rhino 5 while it is in development. Key improvements in the latest build include:
- Better Stability
- Many Command Enhancements
- Faster Drawing Speeds
- Display Enhancements
- New Commands
- New Editing Tools such as gumball
Rhino 5 Mac WIP supports 64-bit Intel, 32-bit Intel and 32-bit PowerPC architectures. This Mac version will run automatically in 64-bit mode on a Core 2 Duo Intel processor or later. The software requires OS X 10.5 Leopard.
McNeel is stating on its website that the first commercial release of Rhino 5 for Mac is still not expected until next year. To learn more and download the software go here.
