New Zealand-based Vectorworks guru Jonathan Pickup and Tamsin Slatter, a garden designer from the UK, have published new Vectorworks tutorials. Nemetschek North America announced this week that they were both available for purchase.
These tutorials focus on a particular Vectorworks product; they offer Vectorworks users a different and effective method of learning, with step-by-step instructions and a conversational tone. The tutorials are based on version 2009 but can be used successfully with prior versions of Vectorworks.
Jonathan Pickup’s three new tutorials include: Vectorworks Architect Tutorial Manual, which is a precise project-based training workbook; Vectorworks Essentials Tutorial Manual, for new users to the program; and Vectorworks Landmark Tutorial Manual, for those involved in landscape design. The hardcopy workbook manuals come with companion CD-ROM’s that contain exercise files and the entire manual in PDF format with embedded QuickTime instructional movies. Each retails for $75.USD.
Tamsin Slatter, a garden designer in the UK and leading expert in Vectorworks Landmark, has created Residential Garden Design with Vectorworks Landmark, which covers the process of residential garden design. Taking you from start to finish the book works you through a project starting with drawing or importing a site survey, managing resources, creating hardscape, planting plans and 3d perspectives rendered out to Renderworks.
Currently this manual is selling for an introductory price of $75.USD until April 30, 2009. Both manuals are appropriate for students and professionals. Sample chapters are available online free for users to get a feeling for the authors’ styles and approach to instruction.
