ArchiCAD Virtual Building Models Made Accessible for Anyone-Anywhere
Graphisoft has announced that they have created an interactive Virtual Building Explorer (VBE) solution for BIM models created on ArchiCAD 12. Now architects will be able to present their virtual building projects through the easy navigation of a first person video-game. This new game-like environment makes it easy to share BIM files using different graphic renderings such as Hidden Line, Shaded OpenGL and Global Illumination. You can even save navigation paths so that clients, consultants and builders can freely explore an entire virtual building without holding a license of VBE or ArchiCAD.
”The best thing about the Virtual Building Explorer is that building elements keep their intelligence even in this navigation environment,” said Miklos Szovenyi-Lux, Vice President, Product Management at Graphisoft. “You can filter elements by switching layers on and off, you can make accurate measurements in the model and you can query detailed information of building elements with just a single click.”
Informatix Launches Reseller Recruitment Drive
Informatix Software International (ISI) has recently launched a global reseller recruitment programme for its MicroGDS CAD solutions. Suitable reseller applicants will be experienced in selling and supporting 2D and 3D CAD solutions, and will receive generous discounts. The reason they are doing this MicroGDS project is because ISI is looking for partners worldwide to assist in establishing its profile in the CAD world.
“We have always offered our award-winning rendering application, Piranesi, through the reseller channel, both in the UK and overseas,” said Steve Evans, Informatix’s Managing Director, “and now we wish to extend an opportunity to suitably qualified resellers to help us to grow the MicroGDS user community.”
Evans also stated, “We are looking forward to building a team of resellers who will share in our success as we see MicroGDS grow its market share. Technically, it can match or exceed the capabilities of its competitors, and with the right partners behind it, we know it can become a market leader.”
