Graphisoft, developer of ArchiCAD the award winning Virtual Building solution, announced today that its board of directors has appointed Viktor Várkonyi as the company’s new chief executive officer, effective immediately.
“The 16 years I spent with Graphisoft provided me with the unique opportunity to witness and influence the dynamic evolution of model based design,” said Viktor Várkonyi, CEO of Graphisoft.
In 1992, Viktor Várkonyi first joined Graphisoft as a software engineer. Since then he has delivered breakthrough technologies, including a globally unique 3D editing environment for model-based design software in 1998. With a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Budapest University, he has held various executive positions at Graphisoft. He has truly climbed the ladder from the bottom up becoming an influential leader from withini Graphisoft’s Product Group responsible for driving all product strategy and engineering activities. And alas, he has risen to CEO.
