LAUBlab in conjunction with Renalto Tarabella and Daniele Ficini has announced a major release of VRAY for Maxon’s Cinema 4D, version 1.1. This update adds over 75 new features and sports the latest V-ray engine from Chaosgroup.

Despite all the new features and the fact this is the 9th update and best update to the product since being introduced last year, this version 1.1 is also free and available to users from the VRAY for C4D website

“We think this is an exciting major update, and the very best version we have made so far,” says Stefan Laub, CEO of LAUBlab, “Almost all of the areas of the engine have been even further optimized and sped up, and many new features have been added.”

This is the only VRAY version that is also available for the Apple Mac OS X platform. It is optimized to compliment the new Maxon Cinema 4D R11 and runs in full 64-bit mode on both OS X and Windows.
