MacCAD: Nemetschek
N.A. introduces VectorWorks MECHANICAL
As expected, Nemetschek North America today announced the release
of VectorWorks MECHANICAL, a new 2D/3D CAD product targeted at mechanical
designers, drafters, engineers and fabricators.
"Feature for feature, VectorWorks MECHANICAL, meets or exceeds
the capabilities of Autocad MECHANICAL, yet is priced within the
means of even the smallest design firm", states Dan Monaghan,
Director of Marketing, Nemetschek North America. "Our exclusive
parametric object technology, powerful CAD tools, unprecedented
ease of use and affordability make VectorWorks MECHANICAL the perfect
choice for today's engineer."
VW Mechanical
VW MECHANICAL
includes a number of tools for the drafting and design process as
well as analytical and visualization tools. Features include a Spring
Calculator, Shaft Analysis, Conversion Factor, Solutions of Triangles,
and Centroid utilities. There is also a simple beam analysis tool
and the program can create animated CAMs and Geneva Mechanisms.
These
are just some of the new features.
VectorWorks MECHANICAL works on both Macintosh and Windows computers,
utilizing the all new VectorWorks 9.5 CAD foundation (engine). For
