Strata and
Electric Rain form Partnership
Strata has just announced that
they have signed an agreement with Electric Rain for the integration
of RAVIX II rendering technology into the Strata 3D software line.
This agreement marks the first time that RAViX II technology will
be directly integrated into a third-party software application,
instead of as a separate plug-in.
RAViX II can render in a variety of animation styles, from cel
animation to shaded models with gradient fills. Fine detail is preserved
for technical drawings, while the gradient fills preserve the realism
of the original 3D scene.
The deal specifically provides for Strata to implement RAViX rendering
into future releases of Strata 3Dproª, the companyÕs flagship 3D
package. Strata users will gain new access to several vector formats,
key to producing commercial content for web or print.
The agreement between the two companies also represents a significant
expansion of StrataÕs Open Creative Environment, as Electric Rain
becomes a full Partner-level Developer in the Strata Development
Community. As such, Electric Rain will enjoy exclusive access to
Strata source-code, a direct share in Strata sales revenue, and
a greatly widened audience for promoting the Electric Rain technology
and brands through the rapidly growing Strata User Community.
For more information about RAViX II see
the Electric Rain website.
