MacCAD news:
VectorWorks LANDMARK is now officially shipping
Architosh Press Report: Nemetschek
North America today announced at AEC Systems 2001 that VectorWorks
LANDMARK is now officially shipping.
Chicago, Illinois (June 20, 2001)- Nemetschek North America today
announced at AEC Systems 2001 that VectorWorks LANDMARK is now officially
shipping. The third product in the VectorWorks Industry Series,
LANDMARK is aimed at the landscape and site design professions.
Although LANDMARK originally previewed at ASLA 2000 in October,
the current version incorporates VectorWorks' latest foundation
CAD technology, 9.0.1. LANDMARK is available in the US market, and
will debut internationally in the near future.
Robert Anderson, VP Integrated Products, Nemetschek NA, stated,
"We believe LANDMARK will be a welcome tool in an industry where
CAD technology options are limited and choices available for landscape
and site design professionals are few. LANDMARK is a further sign
of our commitment to offer our customers an out of box solution
that addresses not only sophisticated design features but also fundamental
design and drafting needs."
VectorWorks LANDMARK combines innovative drafting and modeling
tools with robust site design and planting management tools to quickly
and easily create, analyze and present site and landscape designs.
Offering state of the art technology, LANDMARK provides designers
with the ability to document an existing site, modify and sculpt
new terrain, create planting and irrigation layouts and visualize
in 3D.
To that end, VectorWorks LANDMARK has intelligent hardscape objects
that automatically sculpt a site's contours and interact with the
powerful site modeler, making it easier to create sites in 3D. Plant
selection and inventory are readily accomplished through its unique
plant manager, a fully customizable plant database, and its editable
2D/3D plant libraries. Additionally, LANDMARKâs planting tool allows
designers to effortlessly track planting groups. Finally, powerful
production and detailing features facilitate plan creations while
the Drawing Issue Manager and Red Lining Suite make project management
simple. For more information visit our website at www.nemetschek.net/landmark
