Graphisoft US Increases North American Marketshare in 2002
|
Graphisoft US, the developer of the Virtual Building™
concept in architectural CAD, today announced that the company
continues to show positive momentum heading into 2003. Despite
the weak economy and tight IT spending across all business
segements, the company outperformed its 2001 revenue numbers
and had a very successful 90-city road show of its recently
released ArchiCAD 8 product. Worldwide the company achieved
revenue growth of 4.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2002
from the same period of the previous year.

Growing Marketshare
Graphisoft US is claiming market share gains as it has added
150 architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) firms
to its client roster. Sales of its facilities management solution
also grew in 2002, with revenues increasing 25 percent.
"Building professionals, architects and engineers increasingly
expect more from their design technology," said Chris Barron,
vice president, architecture, at Graphisoft US. "The success
we experienced in 2002 points to the fact that ArchiCAD's
Building Information Modeling system is delivering real productivity
enhancements that traditional 2D applications simply fail
to offer."

Road Show
Graphisoft had a very
successful Road Show in 90 cities last year. Architosh
attended one of those seminars to see ArchiCAD 8 in action
and we had some positive
things to say about what we saw. Graphisoft's seminar
series across North America introduced hundreds of A/E/C professionals
to Graphisoft ArchiCAD 8, the Company's newest 3D model- based
design software.
The New Term: BIM
Graphisoft US continues to gain market share for the industry's
leading Building Information Modeling system (BIM). BIM as
a term has just taken hold thanks to Jerry Laiserin FAIA,
of the LaiserinLetter™, an industry CAD/AEC newsletter.
Customer feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many participants
affirming the Building Information Modeling concept.
