Special Editorial: Status of Architosh.com

Dear Readers:

As many of you may be aware Architosh.com was down for more than 48 hours last week and had published an SOS article requesting technical assistance and guidance. Since October 26 things have been very tough for us due to a number of reasons but the purpose of this article is to inform you that we will be getting back on track very shortly.

I also want to thank all the individuals who wrote in to suggest new Web hosts, solutions and technologies. I especially want to thank all of you who wrote in offering to volunteer your time and technical experiences to help us get back up. My sincerest graditude.

The Immediate Future: Some Good News

We will be announcing shortly that Architosh.com will be joining a major Macintosh publishing news network. This was actually something being kicked around for quite some time. It will bring many benefits to Architosh, including a much improved technical capacity that will allow us to do many more things as well as create additional exposure. Furthermore, it will allow us to reach a critical level in revenue necessary to increasing staff dedication to Architosh.

Over the next few weeks our content will likely be light but we are in the middle of the third phase of major content areas. Coming up at Architosh in November will be Architosh e-Store and in December will be Edu/tainment. Our goal is to be able to deliver the Digital Practice Guide in early 2001, just prior to some surprise announcements Apple will be making related to our site.

Until then, we thank you for your patience in this protracted redesign process and during these technical difficulties. Your loyalty is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely yours,

Anthony Frausto-Robledo, B.Arch.
Founder & Editor
