MacCAD News: Nemetschek N.A. moves to new home

Nemetschek North America Finally Moving to New Home 7150 Riverwood Drive

Architosh News report: Columbia, Maryland (September 8, 2000)- Nemetschek North America announced today that September 18 is the official date of its relocation to a new, larger facility. The company was originally scheduled to move on August 18, but had to postpone due to a strike by the local phone carrier, Verizon. With the resolution of the strike, the company has rescheduled and company officials do not anticipate any further setbacks.

Richard Diehl, Nemetschek North America CEO, stated, " We have been preparing for this move for quite some time and were rather distressed at having to postpone for a month. We had to make several adjustments to compensate for this inconvenience, however, on the bright side, it has further fueled excitement about moving into our beautiful, brand-new facility."

Diehl acknowledged that while he does not foresee any problems, there is always the remote chance that something may go awry. "In the unlikely event of a disruption in our communication capabilities, we want to assure our customers that it will only be temporary and that we will be working to rectify the situation as quickly as possible, " continued Diehl.

The new facility is located one quarter of a mile from the company's current headquarters, yet is nearly twice the size to accommodate the ever-growing company. Nemetschek N.A.'s new address is 7150 Riverwood Drive, Columbia, Maryland, 21046. The company's phone numbers, website and e-mail addresses will remain the same. Architosh Analysis: Having a nice new building is always a great way to begin something new (hint). In addition to having a new owner and a new name, the good folks at Nemetschek North America are presently working hard on apps for a new OS....like in OS X! From our contacts, Nemetschek is also expanding with new staff, new talent, and new add-on products to their core CAD offerings. It's great to see an original Macintosh developer doing so well in a cross-platform world (some even say Window's world!)

Nemetschek N.A. (formerly Diehl Graphsoft) is a wholly owned subsidiary of European software giant Nemetschek AG. A global leader in design technologies, Nemetschek N.A. has developed CAD software for the personal computer since 1985. Its flagship product, VectorWorks, is the leading software for the Macintosh and an emerging leader for the Windows platform. VectorWorks is available in more than 85 countries and translated into 14 languages.
