International Road-Show—BricsCAD with AI Event at Boston Society of Architects

Bricsys, the makers of the BricsCAD line of CAD and BIM software, has announced their Boston stop during the Bricsys International Roadshow. The event takes place on 19 September 2019.

BricsCAD BIM at BSA Boston

BricsCAD, the product line, ships in several versions, including BricsCAD BIM—aimed at architects and related design professionals. The BricsCAD platform is a native (.dwg)-based software solution, and as we noted this feature article in our last annual INSIDER Report (which was devoted to (.dwg) solutions and technology) BricsCAD has begun implementing AI and machine learning specifically.

BricsCAD BIM has new tech that addresses curtain walls and stairs in more advanced ways than before, offering steady progress for its users.

From the Roadshow announcement, the company says that “BricsCAD uses AI to speed up 2D, 3D, and Building Information Modeling workflows, while maintaining the highest degree of compatibility with AutoCAD® and the DWG standard.”

Key presenters include:

Some of those names should sound familiar to Architosh and CAD industry readers who are entrenched in the AutoCAD world. Hewett, in particular, came from Autodesk.

These folks will be speaking about why DWG is now, more than ever, the best platform for design. They will also be showing how BricsCAD BIM works in general, its unique features over rival solutions and how to produce BIM-based projects using AI technologies. They will also tout their flexible licensing options from rental (subscription) to lifetime perpetual formats.
